We laboured over a hot stove, using a lot of trial and error (and gin!) in order to get this recipe just right, but we hope you love it as much as we do.
150g Caster Sugar
1/2 Lemon (Juiced)
70ml Heritage No1 Gin
0.5tsp Ground Cinnamon
Add the sugar, water and lemon juice to a pan and bring to a simmer, leave until liquid has reduced by half and has begun to turn golden.
Then add the ground cinnamon and stir, your syrup should now be a rich golden colour.
Next, add No1 Gin and simmer for a further 2 minutes.
Lastly, place a teaspoon of syrup onto a cold plate - if it thickens after a minute or two - your syrup is ready.
Add liberally to pancakes and enjoy!
