Flipping Marvellous Gin Syrup!

Take your pancakes up a notch with Silverstone Distillery's gin pancake syrup.

The perfect topping for Gin lovers this Pancake Day, our Heritage No1 Gin Pancake Syrup really hits the spot!

We laboured over a hot stove, using a lot of trial and error (and gin!) in order to get this recipe just right, but we hope you love it as much as we do.


200ml Water

150g Caster Sugar

1/2 Lemon (Juiced)

70ml Heritage No1 Gin

0.5tsp Ground Cinnamon


  • Add the sugar, water and lemon juice to a pan and bring to a simmer, leave until liquid has reduced by half and has begun to turn golden.

  • Then add the ground cinnamon and stir, your syrup should now be a rich golden colour.

  • Next, add No1 Gin and simmer for a further 2 minutes.

  • Lastly, place a teaspoon of syrup onto a cold plate - if it thickens after a minute or two - your syrup is ready.

Add liberally to pancakes and enjoy!
