Our Heritage No1 Oak Smoked Gin picks up its second produce award this year!
We are just blown away that our humble distillery and its produce is gaining such amazing notoriety so early on in its life. We've worked tirelessly to create spirits that not only we love, but so does everyone who drinks them! Of course, we can't please everyone all of the time, but to be able to excite expert judges takes some doing that's for sure. However, it is important to us that we have a benchmark for quality and can hopefully gain enough recognition through awards such as this to let our customers know that they are purchasing (and indeed drinking) a quality spirit.
What is Great Taste?
Great Taste is the largest and most trusted food & drink accreditation scheme created by the Guild of Fine Food. It supports and promotes food & drink producers, large and small, giving buyers and food/drink lovers in the UK and overseas reliable recommendations for great tasting food. According to the Guild of Fine Food, the Great Taste Awards are:
“Recognised as a reliable stamp of excellence among consumers, retailers and major food buyers alike, Great Taste success can be the gateway to exciting opportunities for food and drink producers ”
What does our star grading mean?
There are three Great Taste awards up for grabs and we have been awarded one star. This star means that the judges deemed our Gin as "Simply delicious - A spirit that delivers fantastic flavour".
It is also important to note that not all entries receive certification at all and approximately 25% of entries will achieve a 'one-star' rating each year.
We are so incredibly proud to have been awarded this amazing accolade and when coupled with our IWSC award, we can safely say that this gin is now, most certainly award-winning!
